Mental health is a big issue these days.

Actually mental ILL HEALTH is the big issue.

Psychology and counselling, like medicine, have largely been focused on trying to manage/ cure mental illness.

Instead of waiting until people are chronically ill and desperate, wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could be helping them understand the way their mind works, and give them strategies to enhance their wellbeing?

Positive psychology shifts the focus towards enhancing wellness in people who are doing ‘okay’, rather than waiting for them to crash and burn.

I am really interested in this, so will share what I am learning in the hope that others will benefit too.
