Unmet Goals

Last night I looked back at the goals I set 2 1/2 years ago when I started the Strategic Intervention course I have yet to finish…enough said!

The course suggests you set goals for different areas of your life, so I set relationship goals and hobby goals and work goals and health goals and more. Funnily enough most of those haven’t been met. I’m pleased to say I am still in the groove with some of them, but not most of them.

I think maybe there were just too many. I also think that I forgot to keep checking in on them. I checked from time to time, but tried to hold them in my head, rather than keep refreshing my memory by actually looking at them.

For now I am rereading a book by Barbara Sher, see https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0440505003/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i1

I have tossed out the old goals and am looking at the new ones. Barbara writes this:

” Good luck happens when you’re in action.

Perhaps the best reason to plan is that following a plan gets you out into the world…Set a goal, any goal, and start doing everything you can to achieve it. I guarantee you, your life will change. You might not get where you thought you were going, but you could easily wind up somewhere better. You’ll get breaks you never could have planned for because you never knew they existed.”
